Besiktas has reportedly handed Mohamed Salah a 24-hour deadline to respond to a two-year contract proposal that could take the Egyptian star's total earnings to nearly €20 million (over $22 million) per season, including performance-related bonuses.
According to a report carried by beIN Sports, the Istanbul club has offered the 33-year-old an annual guaranteed salary of €15 million, along with bonuses worth approximately €4 million. The agreement is also said to include specific clauses covering image rights.
If all performance incentives are triggered, Salah's yearly income could rise to between €19 million and €20 million. As a result, Besiktas' total financial commitment for the proposed two-year deal would exceed €40 million.
Following the submission of the financial package, attention has shifted to Salah and his agent, Ramy Abbas, as Besiktas waits for a final decision.
Journalist Sercan Dikme reported that the Turkish club had made significant progress on several points during the talks before asking the player to provide a clear response within 24 hours.
Besiktas, one of Istanbul's leading football clubs and commonly known as the Black Eagles, reportedly expects Salah's final answer by Monday evening.
