Fenerbahce has reportedly added Real Madrid’s 19-year-old Brazilian forward Endrick to its shortlist for the January transfer window and is ready to make a loan offer if 21-year-old Colombian striker Jhon Duran fails to recover fully, as the player looks to secure more playing time after struggling for minutes under head coach Xabi Alonso.

Endrick, who aims to be part of Brazil’s squad for the upcoming World Cup, has yet to feature in any competitive match this season despite recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in May.

His frustration became visible during Madrid’s recent LaLiga game against Getafe, where he warmed up on the sidelines but was left unused, reportedly kicking a water bottle in disappointment, according to ESPN Brazil.

Fenerbahce’s interest in Endrick tied to Duran’s recovery

Sources close to Real Madrid told ESPN that the club is open to sending Endrick out on loan to maintain his development, given his lack of first-team opportunities.

The teenager joined Madrid officially in July 2024 from Brazilian club Palmeiras after turning 18, in a deal worth €72 million ($83.6 million)—the largest transfer in Brazilian football history.

In his debut 2024–25 season, Endrick has played only 354 minutes in LaLiga, scoring once, while finding the net five times in the Copa del Rey.

Despite his limited playing time, his contract with Madrid runs until 2030, and his current market value stands at €35 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Fenerbahce’s decision to pursue a forward in January reportedly depends on Duran’s recovery and performance following a long injury spell.

Should Duran fail to meet expectations, the Turkish side plans to reinforce its attacking line.

Other names on the club’s radar include Netherlands international Memphis Depay, who is expected to leave Corinthians, and France’s Elye Wahi from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Duran, who joined Fenerbahce on loan from Saudi club Al-Nassr during the summer transfer window, returned to the pitch on Thursday after missing 10 matches due to injury, appearing in the closing minutes of the UEFA Europa League match against Stuttgart, which the Istanbul side won 1-0.

Top-flight priorities narrow Endrick’s loan options

While Fenerbahce is seen as one of several options under consideration by Madrid, Turkish sports daily Fanatik reported that Endrick’s representatives prefer a move to a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues—or one of Portugal’s top three teams—that competes in either the UEFA Champions League or Europa League.

He is also said to favor an attacking team that regularly contends for domestic titles.

Clubs such as Marseille, Espanyol, and Borussia Monchengladbach have also expressed interest in signing Endrick on loan.

However, reports suggest that Marseille’s strong competition among forwards—including Mason Greenwood, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and rising talent Luis Vaz—may limit the Brazilian’s playing time there.

Real Madrid is therefore prioritizing offers that guarantee consistent minutes for the young forward.

Although Fenerbahce’s name remains among the possible destinations, Endrick’s personal criteria make a move to Türkiye less likely at this stage, according to reports.
