Galatasaray are expected to start Victor Osimhen in the upcoming derby against Fenerbahce after the striker reported no pain following his return from injury.

After spending 35 days on the sidelines, Osimhen made his comeback with a brief 17-minute appearance against Genclerbirligi. Despite wearing a bandage on his arm, the Nigerian forward tested himself during the match and later informed the coaching staff that he did not feel any discomfort.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is reportedly planning his lineup around the striker.

Galatasaray’s attacking line is expected to support Osimhen with a dynamic trio consisting of Baris Alper Yilmaz, Leroy Sane, and Gabriel Sara.

Fenerbahce raises concerns over protective gear

Fenerbahce has formally raised concerns regarding the protective equipment worn by Osimhen during matches. The club reportedly argued that the hard material could pose a risk to other players and submitted a report to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).

According to the complaint, Fenerbahce referred to International Football Association Board (IFAB) regulations on permissible equipment and requested a review of the player’s eligibility to feature under those conditions.
