The 2025-26 season winter transfer window in Turkish football closed on Friday, with 16 Super Lig clubs strengthening their squads through 91 signings and spending a combined €124 million ($146.61 million), while 18 clubs parted ways with 131 players, generating €82.52 million in total revenue from departures.
The period ranks among the busiest winter windows of recent years, led by landmark deals by Istanbul clubs that brought international names such as N’Golo Kante to Fenerbahce, Noa Lang to Galatasaray, and Emmanuel Agbadou to Besiktas.
Fenerbahce, which trails Galatasaray by three points in the title race, added five players in the winter period: Mert Gunok, Anthony Musaba, Matteo Guendouzi, Sidiki Cherif, and N’Golo Kante.
The club paid €28 million for Guendouzi, the highest transfer fee in club history, taking total spending for the window to €37 million. Over the same period, Fenerbahce generated €24.8 million in transfer revenue, including €15 million for Youssef En-Nesyri and €9.5 million for Sebastian Szymanski.
The club also ended its contract with Cenk Tosun by mutual agreement, while four players were sent out on loan.
Jhon Duran, the 22-year-old Colombian striker who joined on loan from Saudi side Al-Nassr, also departed the club after reportedly moving to Russia’s Zenit.
Galatasaray signed five players during the period with a quieter approach than Fenerbahce.
The club brought in Yaser Asprilla from Girona, Noa Lang from Napoli, and Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich on loan, while Renato Nhaga arrived from Casa Pia and Can Armando Guner joined from Borussia Monchengladbach on permanent deals.
Galatasaray is set to pay a total of €9.35 million for the five additions.
Besiktas added seven new players and parted ways with nine during a difficult winter period.
Incoming moves included goalkeeper Devis Vasquez, defenders Amir Murillo, Emmanuel Agbadou and Yasin Ozcan, midfielders Junior Olaitan and Kristjan Asllani, and striker Hyeon-gyu Oh. The club signed Agbadou for €18 million on a 4.5-year contract as its highest-value transfer of the window.
On the outgoing side, Besiktas generated €28 million in transfer income from Demir Ege Tiknaz and Tammy Abraham, and parted ways with 25 of the 35 players who had joined the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria.
