Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahceli addressed his party's parliamentary group meeting, issuing stern warnings regarding the escalating conflict in the Middle East and its potential spillover into Türkiye.

'Undeclared religious war'

Highlighting the growing toll of the war initiated by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, Bahceli called on the international community to take action. He questioned the nature of the conflict, asking, "Has an undeclared religious war broken out and we are just not aware of it?"

'Kurds are not for sale'

Bahceli strongly reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump's call for Kurds in Iran to take up arms against the Tehran regime.

"Kurds will not and should not act as mercenaries for any axis that tests the waters to drive our Kurdish brothers onto the battlefield, planning to collapse Iran from the inside," he stated. "My Kurdish brothers are not for sale or for rent."

Warning over airspace violations

The MHP leader also addressed the recent incident where a missile fired from Iran entered Turkish airspace.

"Every country must come to its senses. Türkiye is not a country to be gambled with," Bahceli warned. Stating that Ankara wants to believe the incident was not deliberate, he added: "The whole world must know that we never again want to hear of a missile or UAV losing its way or direction in our airspace."
